So it’s pretty much been about a full year since I’ve really worked on this. I’m spending the remainder of my summer on Confessh.us! I spent the first half working on another paid project however I would now like to set all my focus onto squishing bugs people have found as well as adding a couple new features to the site. Currently I’ve managed to close one ticket and am currently working on two of the tickets which I’ve been dreading the most, upgrading the blog and support forums. Since we have so much custom code hooked into both, I thought it would be a nightmare, but so far it hasn’t been to bad. I am really hoping by the end of October to have most of these support tickets closed and a bunch of new features added. Wish me luck!

We’ll be turning all servers and services off tomorrow at 9am EST. We’re experiencing some power issues and rather then get corrupted databases out of it, we’ll be turning them off while we look into the issue. All data has been backed up.

This outage could last anywhere from 6 to 12 hours.

The last couple of days I’ve been working with Rafael and we’ve been working on making things show up properly across all web browsers. I think we’ve got a pretty good handle on it. Let me know if you see anything odd (report it in the support section of the message boards).

I’ve also edited the public profile page so that if you submit an anonymous confession, it won’t then show up in your public profile, I mean that pretty much defeats the purpose of anonymizing a comment, right?!

Also I must mention, thank you everyone! Thanks for checking out my new website and sharing your confessions. It’s so cool, so thanks a lot! Also thanks to people sending in bugs and such, it’s really appreciated!

The day has finally come! At 13:37pm today we launched Confessh.us! In about 3 weeks from dream to code, we bring you this website! I find it so hard to believe that we did it in that amount of time, but we did. I completely understand that not all the features we want are built-in right now, but we’re definitely going to continue our hard work to get those features in there.

We’re in a beta testing phase right now, so we’re still working on getting all the kinks out. We invite everyone to come and make an account and submit your deepest darkest confessions! Let your friends, family, co-workers, or anyone know about the site!

An Update

Here’s an update from your fearless leaders. LtDan and I have been working almost nonstop since our last blog posting. We redid the sessions and cookies and now we’re using a much more secure method. We’ve been writing hundreds of lines of code and the site is so very close being launched for beta testing.

The last bits of the site we have left to do are a public user page and tagging for the confessions. Then we’ll be ready to rock and roll! I’m very excited!

Welcome to the Confessh.us blog. We’ve been really hard at work trying to get everything ready on the site so people can come and help us test it! It sure has been a lot of learning and quite the journey that has really just begun!

Currently we have user registration working, user login, the main site has been integrated with our blogging and support forums software, the home page works (as in it snags the last 25 confessions from the database and displays them),
